Lines: 20 I have an RS/6000 AIX 3.2 box with a CD-ROM drive, and a Kodak PCD Writer 200R hooked up to a Sparc Station 10 running SunOS 4.1.3. I can cut a disk on the Kodak writer that can be read on every single kind of computer except for AIX. The AIX box complains that while reading the last file on the disk (physically) with tar, it hits a media error--a premature end-of-file. Since none of the other computer types has this problem, it looks like the problem is with AIX, but IBM disavows all knowledge of this problem. Has anyone else seen this problem??? Any workarounds? Thanx!!! -- ____/ / / __ / _ _/ ____/ / / / / / / / Chris Sherman / ___ / _/ / / _____/ __/ __/ __/ _\ _____/ _____/ sherman@unx.sas.com
