ST|I have a CD-I and can confirm that a CD will hold 74 minutes
  |of excellent quality movie with Dolby Surround sound etc etc. All of
  |the existing titles are on 2 disks, and allow you to jump to one of
  |between 20 or 30 "Tracks" on the disks so you can instantly get to
  |the bit of the film you want. I paid 15 UK pounds for my films which
  |for a media as reliable and lasting as CD is good in my books. (Usually
  |about 13 UK pounds for a VHS tape)

Okay, so I have a 486/66DX2, 17" NEC 5FG Monitor, 8MB RAM, Windows, etc.
I'm looking to purchase CD-ROM in the near future. Can you (or
someone) give me a list of the things needed to do this? Is the Phillips
drive the only one that can do movies? Are the movies really good
reproductions--e.g. not slow-motion 15 frames per second etc.,
relatively flicker free? Do I need a special video card or interface
card? I've got a Pro Audio Spectrum 16 (and I think that's got a SCSi
port on it, though I'm not positive...)
