If you are referring to what I think you are, the Kodak mastering software is actually QuickTOPiX from OMI; Kodak bundles it with the Phillips/Kodak drive. You can get the same package (drive/software) from OMI. It may be cheaper from them. We have several Kodak/Phillips drives. I've had no complaints about them. For my work, we presently use mastering software I wrote. We also have a copy of QuickTOPiX on order. It was very highly rated by New Media magazine (8/93). The software runs on PC/Mac/Sun. Options are available for CD-Audio, CD-XA, and mixed-mode discs. The standard configuration cuts ISO9660 and/or native HFS (Macintosh-version). OMI also sells/supports other CD-Rs, like Sony, etc. Optical Media International (800)347-2664 or (408)376-3511 Ask for Eric Haya (pronounced High-yuh) Disclaimer: I don't have any connection with the above. I'm still waiting for my copy of their product (order lost by MY purchasing dept... :-( ). -- Steve Holzworth sch@unx.sas.com "Do not attribute to poor spelling SAS Institute x6872 That which is actually poor typing..."
