The main purpose of this system would be to archive data. Not doing high production. Anticipate cutting only a few CD's/month. I have a colleague that makes CD's on the MAC. He had a few problems getting his pinnacle system to work. Turned out the disk with the master data did thermal recalibration which fouled up the timing. These are the types of issues I'm hoping someone can clue me into on the DOS side. What I'm considering is the DOS based Pinnacle system and a 1GB hard drive on a 486 workstation. If anyone has any experience with some of the low end DOS CD makers particularly specific hardware combinations that work (or don't) I'm all ears. P.S. tried to get the FAQ listing from rtfm.mit.edu but the system would not let me log in anonymously - Anybody else have this problem? Is this address correct? Thanks, Steven C.
