If you're interested in buying this Multimedia Kit don't be too dazzled about
what the box says. First it said that Creative Ensemble was included (a sound
control rack software) but it wasn't there. Also the SimCity 2000 CD is not
the full CD, it's only the disk version of the game in a CD (a whole CDROM
for only 2.8Mb, what a waste!). Also the sound drivers for this game where
crippled so that it only support the SB16. You can't sell it unless the
buyer also has a SB16. And if you use it, you only use it to install the
game to your hard drive. I though the main advantages of CDROMs is that they
use a small amount of HD space. Well, this is not the case here.
The same thing goes to the microprose CD (Railroad/Civilization/F117/Silent
Service). All the games are installed in the hard drive, consuming your
precious space.
I've heard about the 8bit sound problem in the SB16 but I never thought it
was so bad!. For games that uses 8bit sound (in other words all of them) the
SB16 makes pops and clicks while digitized sound is coming out.
I just want to know if I'm the only one in this situation or is CL shipping
all their Kits in this way? I would like to get at least the Ensemble program,
does anybody have it?

Juan
