One might think one is smart and believe that ones idea has never been
thought of before, but there are always some other that have tried it
anyway, or at least made sure that ones idea will not work. That is at
least true this time.
Basically is there no different between the two disc, but Kodak has made a
precut on the CD-that gives your mastering software an error message. I
have myself the exact same burner as Kodak uses to cutting PhotoCD; Kodak
Writer 200+. and I uses MacOnCD. I tried with an empty PhotoCD tha I got
from my local PhotoDealer. Well I was all exited. Man those real cheap
disc. Only $7 a piece. But what a failure. The software would not eccept
the disc. And I know it is the software since Kodak uses the same writer.
If someone ot there could write a new software piece for cutting CD I
believe that you could use the Photo Disc but than again it would be
difficult to get the disk itself.
