I don't think it is possible for the user to service these drives and they shouldn't need it. I would be very concerned about the high temperatures. Your drive is only rated at 50 deg C, and I don't think the disks will withstand that temperature very long. *No* part of your computer should feel hot to the touch, with the possible exception of the CPU which may require a heat sink or fan. If it is your hard drive that is producing the heat, it may be defective. (Al) woulf@crl.com
