Both Cards???  You should not be using BOTH cards.  The 40 pin controller
cable should be plugged in to the SBPro.  The same for the thin 4 wire cable.
Try setting your SBPro to IRQ 5 and 220H.  In your autoexec.bat be sure to
have the SET SOUND and SET BLASTER lines as well as MSCDEX. In your config.sys
be sure to have SBCD.SYS loaded.

Also, you might want to check the [386 Enh] section of your SYSTEM.INI file.
Look for a line that says DMABUFFERSIZE=xxx (where xxx is a number).  If
you do not see this line, ADD IT.  Set xxx to about 60 or so.
