Mike,

    The Mitsumi driver you have is probably version 1.13. That version had
a problem with skipping when playing audio cd's.  Their latest version
driver 1.16 fixes the skipping problem.  It can be downloaded from their
BBS.  408-970-0761.
I do not know if there is an ftp site that has the drivers.
