The CD-ROM controller card which was equiped with it, is not able to handle IRQ's. So the drivers are configured to use polling. My question now is, does this decrease the performace somehow? A lower throughput, or a heavier system load. Or shouldn't the difference be noteworthy? In other words, should I obtain another IRQ driven controller, or not?
