Package: python3-pgzip
Architecture: all
Depends:
 ${python3:Depends},

Description: multithreaded gzip implementation for Python
pgzip provides parallel compression and decompression of gzip files using
multiple threads. It offers an interface compatible with Python's gzip
module, including support for binary and text streams, and a command-line
interface available through python3 -m pgzip.
 .
Block indexes are stored in the gzip header's FEXTRA field, allowing
parallel processing while keeping the compressed files compatible with
standard gzip tools. Performance depends on the available cores, data,
 block size and I/O throughput.
