Installation notes.....

The three directories: make4mpx, nbc, and rcs4mpx each
contain readme files on how to install that product.
All files that are in uppercase are in MPX blocked
format and must be FTP'd using BINARY mode to MPX.
Lowercase files are ascii files in Unix format. All
files except the readme files are in MPX format. If
you would like to view any of the MPX files, use the
Linux utility unblk to view them. I.e., "unblk <MPXFILE |
more". The JH.FIX files are TSM command files and must
be run in the BIN directory to fixup the FTP'D files and
copy files to the SYSTEM directory on MPX. You should
install the make4mpx files first and the nbc files second.
The doc files should be put in separate directories for
each product, because there are some duplicate names. Try
using NBC_DOC and MAKE_DOC or whatever you want.

Once the files are on an MPX machine and all JH.FIX files
run, you can make an MPX tape that can be read on other
MPX machines. There is a "MAK.TAPE" command file in the
BIN directory that will make the NBC product tape. There
is also an "INSTALL_NBCC" file that gets put on the install
tape by MAK.TAPE that will install NBC from the tape. You
can modify these files to suit your needs. To test your
installation on MPX, go to the SAMPLE directory and type
"make". This should build all of the samples. If you are
going to use NBCC to compile fortran prograns, you must
copy your local version of FORTRAN to "FORT77" in the BIN
directory to be usable. Also, modify the CDIRS abd FDIRS
files in the BIN directory to represent your local defaults
for building programs. Also, don't forget to set your
local timezone definition in the TIMEZONE file.

Let me know if you have any problems.
