DESCRIPTION:GPUG (GPUG PHP User Group)\nIn this edition of GPUG\, we'll ex
 plore nginx — the web server quietly powering most of your PHP applicati
 ons — and how understanding it better can make you a more effective deve
 loper. Rather than treating nginx as a black box managed by your DevOps te
 am\, we'll walk through how it actually works: from the structure of confi
 guration files\, to how requests get routed to PHP-FPM\, to the powerful d
 irectives available right out of the box.\n\nWe'll also look at how we can
  solve real world problems by writing simple nginx configuration files. Fo
 r many of these problems we often reach for PHP\, but nginx can handle the
 m faster\, more efficiently\, and without ever booting your application. W
 hether you've never opened an nginx config file before or you work with th
 em regularly\, there's something here for every skill level.\n\nAs always\
 , it’s going to be a night full of learning and great conversations. Piz
